LAPL(A) licence

The light aircraft pilot license has been a novelty since the year 2014 on the aviation trainings market. It authorises the pilot to fly planes or motogliders of the certified takeoff mass up to 2.000 kg with maximum 4 seats.

Therefore, the license authorizes to pilot majority of popular, not only those smallest, aircraft. What is more, it allows for taking to the air more than just one person.

It is an interesting point that with the LAPL(A) pilot license you can also pilot ultralight aircraft, only after a short training for a particular type of an aircraft.

Theoretical training
for LAPL(A)

To pass on the minimum of theoretical knowledge necessary for each pilot and at the same time to make easier possible efforts to achieve the PPL(A) pilot license in the Targor Flight Club we run theoretical courses adjusted to both LAPL(A) and PPL(A) requirements.

You will find the details in PPL(A) theoretical training information.

PPL(A) licence

The private pilot license authorises to piloting piston land aircraft with a one-man crew. The aim of the training is obtaining abilities allowing for safe piloting of a SEP(L) class aircraft.

Within this license one can pilot all types of one-engine, piston, land aircraft with a one-man crew without any limitations and similarity to the LAPL(A) license authorise to piloting ultralight aircraft.

Theoretical training
for PPL(A)

The theoretical training covering 102 program hours may take place in 3 possible variants: full-time training, extramural training and e-learning.

The full-time training where 100% of classes are run in the form of lectures, most frequently is used in the case of the integrated training – integrating practical and theoretical trainings and fully taking place at the airport.

The extramural training in the most popular version covers 50% of the time in the form of full-time lectures and 50% of time in the form of self-learning. TFC organizes such trainings every year in winter which allows the students to start taking state examinations already before starting the practical training in the spring-summer period.

E-learning training is the most popular form of aviation theory learning. It allows to gain 90% of knowledge not leaving your armchair in the most suitable time for the student. After completion of learning covering reading materials and passing tests placed on the Internet platform there are 10 hours of learning in the form of a direct meeting and consulting with the instructors. This form of learning is recommended by us to all the trainees living outside Poland.

The theoretical training takes place before the first flights in a new aircraft and is included in the price of the practical training.

Practical training

SEP(L) exams

Each pilot having SEP(L) rating has to prolong it every two years.
In case of expiration of the rating Targor Flight Club in accordance with the rules prepares for the pilot a renewal training the scope of which depends on the time that has passed from expiration, experience and practice of the pilot. The cost of the training is consistent with the price list for PPL(A).

Theoretical exam

The theoretical exam is a part of the practical exam.

Practical exam
for SEP(L)

Before taking the examination, the pilot has to present the confirmation of payment into the account of the Civil Aviation Authority of a proper amount for running the state examination for prolonging/renewal of the right.

The examination normally lasts 1.5 hour and is run on an aircraft selected by the pilot. The cost of the aircraft is in accordance with the price of the rent of airplanes for PIC.

If refresher training is needed before the practical exam, the plane price is as on the PPL(A) training price list.

Pilot proficiency check

Proficiency check (theory)

The theoretical part of the Proficiency check is conducted in the oral form during the practical part of the Proficiency check.

Proficiency check (practice)

Pilot proficiency check aims at checking the piloting technique and the ability to execute emergency procedures. In the Targor Flight Club special emphasis is put on imitation of an engine failure and the ability to land in unstandardized aircraft configuration.

Standard Check time is 45 min. – 1 hour. The cost of the aircraft is in accordance with the price of the rent of the aircraft for PIC.
